Osteoporosis - an inherited disorder in which bone cartilage, especially in long bones, becomes dense and hardened to an extent that marrow is obliterated.
(See Arthritis). Although the symptomolgy and effects are different, the mineral deficiencies are relatively the same.
**Note: Soft drinks that contain phosphoric acid rob the body of vital magnesium. It is theorized that such loss prevents the proper uptake and utilization of calcium. Calcium and magnesium are needed in the body in a ratio of 1:2.
